Hi. Look -- the ONLY reason this position is listed here in the first place is because...well,....simply put, the Canadian gas compression industry can be separated in to the good and not so good group of professionals, that are compressed in to a small group of companies; some of them world class. And frankly, MOST of the individuals in the game are well rewarded and their existence jealously guarded. And, we really only want the folks from the good group. So...we thought that...maybe... you're looking here at this opening either because you've been sizing up the Packager you work for now and want to make a quiet move or, you're a technical sales specialist who can sell anything to anyone (even to companies in the oil and gas business) and you heard that you could make a lot of money and buy your sweetie a KompressorTM for Christmas. Okay, your first thought
was mostly right! You should apply! Being able to impressively drive
the sales of these compressors will allow you to drive the other Kompressors.
But, consider this...just because you can or have driven a Kompressor
to a sales meeting doesn't necessarily imply you can drive compressors
to meet sales. Because then we would need to get in to the whole thing
about coolers versus Coolers. (And, we don't want to go there right
now,
if you catch our meaning). Our client is an emerging leader (and
far less frivolous in their position descriptions than us, we add)
in the manufacture and supply of solutions for gas compression and
process systems to the oil and gas industry. Our client would like
to add a new compressor sales driver to their professional sales team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:When you apply we'll be looking for your ability, experiences and successes in the oil and gas business developing and maintaining sales relationships with producers, contractors and consulting engineers. You'll be able to demonstrate your expertise at strategizing the penetration of accounts and quotations to same; supervising the efforts of applications engineers in preparing proposals; scheduling meetings and marshalling internal resources to support and lead contract negotiations as well as the delivery of timely information to satisfy customer concerns.
