RESPONSIBILITIES:

When you apply we'll be looking for your ability, experiences and successes in the oil and gas business supporting and maintaining sales relationships not only internally but also with producers, contractors and consulting engineers. You'll be able to demonstrate your expertise at putting together custom quotations/proposals as well as lending your strategies for the penetration of accounts in Western Canada. You'll demonstrate your ability to learn about and source suitable components for incorporation in to systems; scheduling meetings and marshalling internal resources to support efforts in contract negotiations as well as the delivery of timely information to satisfy customer concerns. Basically, you'll be expected to demonstrate how your background will allow you to secure and execute profitable construction work within the ammonia refrigeration market in Western Canada. We'll also be assessing your ability and aspirations to develop in to senior management material within the firm.

 
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE:
  • Knowledge of the Canadian gas compression and/or refrigeration industry including customer contacts, systems, etc.
  • Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration market and systems, both in their design and manufacture
  • Knowledge of basic selling principles and methods, project tracking systems and booking successes
DUTIES & ROLE EXPECTATIONS:
  • Generate ammonia construction work by developing contacts and prospects. Will involve some outside sales.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers and potential customers.
  • Prepare and present quotations and estimates of ammonia construction jobs to clients.
  • Size and select equipment and initial designs.
  • Develop bills of materials and progress billings for projects.
  • Develop proposal drawings as required, working with company drafting personnel.
  • Prepare initial construction drawings, make revisions as necessary to "as built" drawings.
  • Attend project planning and scheduling meetings with end users.
  • Provide internal managment of construction jobs, including:
    • Scheduling mechanics;
    • Coordinating purchasing for execution of work;
    • Approving all supplier invoicing for the job;
    • Approving all customer invoicing;
    • Review of budget to actual for each job and flow up for any significant variances from budget, project costing.
  • Deal with customer complaints and concerns.
  • Resolve warranty disputes.
  • Be aware of other business opportunities the company can participate in ; hand leads to service department where appropriate.
  • Coordinate with other sales staff within company to ensure consistency in message and delivery.
MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
  • Should have minimum of a CET designation with some industry exposure within diploma preferred.
  • Demonstrable technical sales experience (two years or better).
  • You have strong organization, communication and presentation skills.
  • Good relationship builder.
  • Excellent organizational skills, detail oriented.
  • Excellent administrative and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly developed professional service skills.
  • Able to work effectively in a entrepreneurial environment within a small management group.
  • Strong written communication and PC computer skills with experience putting RFQ's together.
  • Take charge attitude with the burning desire to be a strong contributor.
  • Team player who leads by example.

IMPORTANT STUFF:
  • Position is based in Calgary. Depending on experience, annual compensation no less than $45,000 plus plus with participation in company profit-sharing programs.
