The company businesses manufacture and sell a diverse range of products including: vending machines, airplane braking devices, pumps, valves and other industrial goods. The industries served are just as diverse, ranging from aerospace manufacturing, power generation and hydrocarbon processing to commercial and residential building, plumbing, and food and beverage production - even snowmaking.

Reporting to Global VP of Marketing the successful manager will have overall responsibility for coordinating product status and coordinating field service and special programs for the global valve division - manufacturing valves in the U.S., Europe and Australia for oil and gas production, refining, chemical and industrial processing, and nuclear and marine applications.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop initial pricing levels, cost position and expected profit margin, lead requirements
- Analysis of markets, trends and competition
- Develop product priorities and guidelines
- Recommends sales programs
- Train factory and field personnel
- Assist in developing support data for departmental administration
- Assist the Sales Administrators with quotes and product information requests requiring technical input
- Resolve all return good issues and customer quality issues for the brand
- Represent sales on all engineering and manufacturing issues relevant to the brand
- Define channel of sales model (direct vs. distribution)
- Define target markets/users for field sales
ACCOUNTABILITY:
- Responsible for achieving business plan goals (revenues and profits)
- Responsible for developing and maintaining long term-strategic plan
- Responsible for driving advertising and promotional programs (literature, demos, and price sheets)
- Responsible for setting inventory levels with manufacturing to support sales plan
- Responsible for approving all EDA's as requested from Standard Products Manager
- Responsible for approving all ECO's that affect the performance, application or perception of the product in the marketplace
- Complete ownership of the brand including but no limited to: product offering, applications and minimum design requirements
- Requires constructive and solid judgments
- Performs analysis of price data on: distributors, end-users, competitors and project pricing levels
INTERACTION:
- Primary contact is with Marketing, Engineering, Production, Customer service, Sales administration & Finance.
- Contact with customers and firm's associates.
- Interaction with the Global business units, Sales representatives and distributors.
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE:
- Knowledge of fluid dynamics, chemical/corrosion engineering, mechanical and electrical applications
- Knowledge of selling principles and methods, project tracking system and project booking successes.
- Knowledge of products and application
- Knowledge of valving and piping systems, automation systems, industrial manufacturing, or industrial distribution
MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- BS in Engineering degree preferred, plus 5 years experience in marketing and sales encompassing sales of valves or related industry products.
- Excellent organizational skills, detail oriented.
- Excellent administrative and interpersonal skills.
- Highly developed professional sales and self-management skills
- Has the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Have good oral and written communication and PC computer skills.
- Able to travel to foreign offices and markets when necessary.
- Take charge attitude - can be based anywhere in NA
